Arts in the Parks
This morning the boys and I drove over to Smith Park to see the Brian Richards' Magic Show, one of multiple free kid friendly opportunities offered at various Bloomington parks this summer.
The humor was way over my head and was apparently also lost on Nolan, but Collin and Aaron thought he was hilarious and extremely talented. They patiently waited in line to collect a $100 bill, convinced the money was real.
The only other such event we managed to squeeze into our schedule this summer was Kid Power with Rachael Kroog on July 12, whose song and dance message was "Kids are KIND!" As a former naturalist at the Minnesota Zoo, she also brought animals. Since Moir park is much closer to home, we were all able to ride our bikes. I guess there can be advantages to living in a big city.
