In June, when things were getting crazy with our schedule, Lori recommended we call Jane Schneider, a fellow daycare provider from the Eden Prairie daycare association who had previously watched Isaac before Lori quit her job to begin her own daycare business.
We arranged to meet Jane and her Shih Tzu, George, at her home on July 15 and promptly began completing the paperwork to solidify the new arrangement. Jane has been doing daycare for over 20 years and we all immediately felt comfortable in her presence; Aaron so much so that he didn't necessarily want to stop playing in her play room when it was time to leave. Because Jane only had an opening on Fridays, I adjusted my work schedule from Tuesday/Thursday to Tuesday/Friday beginning today.
On the days when Aaron and Nolan are off to daycare, Collin attends Kid Safari at Westwood before and after school. We may re-examine this aspect of the schedule in October, instead opting for hourly care at TLC, the daycare Collin attended until Aaron was born.
The boys enjoyed their first day with Jane, George, and the three other girls in Jane's care. Nolan was apprehensive about George in the morning, but by the time Adam arrived to pick up Aaron and Nolan, Nolan gave Georgie a big kiss.
Adam was right. It all worked out...eventually.
