We call this our "practice" house for a reason...this is a place where creativity can explode (literally), without concern for permanently damaging our very ordinary and well-used belongings. In 2010, the boys received a plethora of art supplies from both their grandparents and Santa. To help with the cabin fever that has inevitably set in by now,we pull out the paints and let our subconscious flow onto discarded and re-purposed TekSystems card stock. The result: beautiful cards, to share with loved ones throughout the year.
Painting then (January 20, 2010)
Painting now (January 26, 2011). In addition to cards, the boys each painted a portrait. Aaron's was geometric, which has been his style since beginning preschool this fall. Collin's was a picture of his mom and dad under a blue sky with white clouds, standing next to two boxes and two hearts, one red and one green.
