Last Days

Aaron's last day of his first year of preschool was Monday. After class, he posed with his teachers, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Zosel, proudly displaying his "certificate of completion" upside-down.

As a parting gift, Aaron gave his teachers a hummingbird feeder like one Nana had at her cabin, complete with special food to help attract the amazing birds. Today he met his class at Brookside Park off Xerxes for one last goodbye before summer vacation. We are hoping to continue bi-weekly gatherings at local parks throughout the summer, so the kids can maintain and build friendships.

Our move from St. Andrew's preschool in Eden Prairie to St. Stephen's preschool in Bloomington was one of the most positive things that has ever happened to our schedule. Not only was it way more convenient, but the director, the staff, and the program are all exceptional. I am grateful Aaron and Nolan have this educational opportunity.

Tuesday night, the kids performed all the Bible verses and songs they had learned during chapel time this Spring. Both the rehearsal late Monday morning and the actual concert were absolutely amazing. Some highlights follow:

He made the hippo, who weighed a ton!

I had a silly chicken, and she wouldn't lay an egg,
so I poured hot water up and down her leg,
then she wiggled, and she wiggled, and she wiggled all the day,
and my poor little chicken laid a hard boiled egg!"

with all the little fishies swimming up and down the bay?

One day she drank from a frozen stream,

And ever since then, she's been giving ice cream,
