Something was amiss at the apple orchards this fall. Not only were the tractor rides for "U Pick" suspended at the Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard, but Adam also learned during a phone conversation that they no longer had a petting zoo.
In light of that information, we decided to ditch our annual apple picking adventure, and instead went to visit the MN Zoo.
Unbeknownst to us, the MN Zoo was hosting a Fall Festival, which turned out to be a wonderful substitution to our yearly tradition.
The first thing the boys always want to do is visit the Land-O-Lakes farm to get up close and personal with the goats.

Nolan was a little apprehensive, preferring to feed them from the safety of his parents' arms.

We managed to convince the boys to pose for some pictures in the hen house. Collin is a boy after my own heart, asking me repeatedly if we could maybe get a chicken of our own?

Corn maze!

Nolan enjoys a chocolate ice cream treat...saving some for "later" all over his clothes and face.
