After a recent workout at LTF, we wandered into the tennis area and stumbled upon free tennis lessons for me and the boys. The boys had their first encounter with QuickStart tennis, “a new play format for learning tennis, designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment (foam balls and lowered net), shorter court dimensions and modified scoring, all tailored to age and size.”
The boys appeared to have a good time, which was our main objective. Aaron was technically too young to participate, but the coaches agreed he could stay with his brother. It was apparent Aaron is still not feeling well, and we questioned our decision to let him play. We may regret letting him get this run-down later.
Adam then took the boys to the pool while I enjoyed drills with other beginners. It would be fun to have more time to pursue perfecting my skills…but time isn’t something we have in excess these days.
