5,4,3,2,1...

Beduhn Idaho Vacation 2010 Travel Log

August 2, 2010-Day 3

I'm pleasantly surprised by my own stamina in the thin mountain air, managing a 30 minute jog with Heather to the golf course and back to begin the day. After breakfast, we take the kids, Collin, Braxon, Aaron, Carter, and Nolan, ages 5,4,3,2,1, respectively, to Greenhorn for a hike.

Four little hikers, enjoying granola
Botanist Braxon stops to draw a picture of a beautiful and interesting flower in his field book.
" Wade in the water...

Hold onto my hand. The current can be strong here...but no stronger than I am." Storyhill

The kids look like they've been in the mountains for at least a week after only 10 minutes, especially Aaron who tripped and fell at the trail head with a shirt full of rocks he collected for throwing into the stream.
Family picture...say "MONKEY...Hey did you call me a monkey?"
Sweet Honesty

Collin to Beth in the car on the way home from the hike, "Mom, if we could somehow get a butterfly in our car, it would be totally amazing."

We spent the afternoon in Ketchum, first visiting the school park where Adam and I had our first real date, playing tennis and later hearts in the shade. We met up with Auntie Ellie, who drove down from her home in Moscow, at the city watering hole...to cool off with a new friend, Aspen, and two other little boys who felt clothing was optional.

Whoa...Braxon shows Nolan the ropes.

After evening at Sun Valley Summer Symphony, we relax in Dales hot tub, sipping on adult beverages while watching a meteor shower.

Would someone please remind me why we don't live here?
