Big Boy

A week in the mountains convinced Nolan he is too sophisticated for his high chair. His looks of disapproval, followed by whimpering and finally screaming convinced us that maybe dinner wasn't the problem. He was all smiles after we pulled the booster seat out of the front hall closet, and pulled him up to the table to join the rest of us. At least it was an easy fix.

Nolan appears to have forgotten that he is the littlest person in the family, instead believing that he is capable of all of all the same antics as his older brothers. We've also noticed that where Collin was a demolisher at this age, Nolan is much more interested in building. And since his vocabulary is still very limited, he has adopted a method of pointing and confidently saying, "CA, CA...CA, CA" when he feels we need to know about something (to report a spill, to tattle on his brothers, or to point out something small, like a bug, that we, because of our limited perspective, have failed to notice).
