Everything Old is New Again

The clicking of the caulk gun lured Andre over to inquire about our project. He couldn't understand how we could engage in serious home improvement with three young boys in the house. Little did he know, we solicited the help of our electronic babysitters, the TV, DVD player and a movie from the library.

After years of drafts, followed by frost and finally plastic, we ordered a Home Depot replacement window for the downstairs bedroom. In about an hour, the new slider was installed and fully operational. We even shored up the vents with some screen from Andre...to keep the insects outside where they belong.

Now the cosmetic overhaul of the 70's style wood paneling can begin. We're eagerly anticipating long winter nights, listening to Christmas tunes on the radio while caulking and sanding...preparing the walls for Manda Mudd and some newly painted trim. Someday, this will be Collin and Aaron's room.

Visible water damage...coupled with a storm window that is non-functional and caulked to the house.
