In spite of the fact that they swept the Fargo team 3-0 on Sunday, it wasn't enough to pull ahead of the younger Gustie team, who finished the tournament 3-0, winning a trip to Nationals in Palm Springs, CA the first weekend of October.
There was obvious disappointment. Just one more match against the Bryans on Saturday and the outcome would've been different. However, I think Adam is more disappointed about the end of the season...which also probably marks the end of his 6:30am hits with Haddorff.
Tennis is such a great outlet for Adam. Aside from obvious physical benefits, it clears his mind and provides him with some healthy male camaraderie and competition. It's probably a good thing that winter league's right around the corner.
