Both the boys will attend school on Monday morning from 9:00 to 11:30 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie. Aaron's teachers are Mrs. Meghan and Miss Emmy and Collin's teachers are Mrs. Doris and Mrs. Jean. Collin will also go to school on Wednesday and Friday mornings. At first glance, Mrs. Doris and Mrs. Jean are no Mrs. Heidi...who was debatably Collin's favorite person in the whole world next to Daddy. However, we hope they provide a fun learning environment that helps Collin prepare for kindergarten next fall.

Preschool Orientation
Today was Collin's turn for preschool orientation. Adam retrieved Aaron from Matt and Molly's yesterday morning, so Aaron could attend his orientation. While I was getting Aaron and Nolan ready, Collin slipped on his new shoes and surprised me by tying one of them all by himself. He has mastered the first tie and the "bunny ear" loop, but things fall apart a little when he rounds the bunny loop and attempts to create the second loop from the conglomeration at the base of the first loop. All in good time.

Collin has spent days building "block city" with the Duplo blocks he received from PaPa Minnows and Honey Honey last year for Christmas. It may look like chaos, but every block has a very specific location and function in the city. There is a "transformer" creation that morphs into a helicopter, snowplow or lawn mower depending on the mood of the creator. We've had to take heroic measures to save this masterpiece from the younger brothers. I wonder when it will be OK to deconstruct and begin again?...my guess is that it will be awhile.
