Yogurt Good...Spinach Bad!
It's been a little over 2 weeks since Nolan made the leap to solid foods, and because he's the third kid, he's on a culinary fast track. When Collin and Aaron were learning to eat, we started with rice cereal and gradually introduced more complex grains followed by orange and then green vegetables one at a time, a week at a time, to note potential allergies. Nolan has no such regime. After multiple meals of multi-grain cereal, he made the leap to spinach and carrots (which was one of Aaron's favorites). He tolerated the first half of the jar, but by the second night, was gagging as soon as the puree touched his tongue. All subsequent attempts with spinach have been barely tolerated, only if interspersed with bites of yogurt.
He's also tried peas, sweet potatoes, and whole carrots from the Farmer's Market, which he enjoys using as teething sticks.
