Fortunately Marin Koester’s schedule was a little more accommodating than her sister, Anna’s, because Joelle cautioned it would be nearly impossible for her to make it to our house on time due to her class schedule and Friday afternoon traffic. Even though they’ve never met Marin, Collin and Aaron were very excited, because, as Collin informed me, “babysitters just play with you.”
We weren’t comfortable leaving Marin with all three boys, so Nolan joined us for the festivities. Mike and Laura had a beautiful ceremony, followed by an incredible reception and dance. I consider the bruise on my left hand, which resulted from banging on a tambourine the entire night, a good indication that we made the most of our first night away from the boys since June. Maybe a repeat performance, that doesn’t involve a wedding or other social commitment, is in order?
