Rest

This weekend we did something we never do...we gave each other permission to relax and rest. We let our kids see us sit around and do absolutely nothing. It was glorious. We took family naps...we had family movie night...we played puzzles and games...we went on walks...we celebrated with Federer as he obtained a career grand slam by winning the French Open on TV...we took more naps...

I think it's important that the kids see us unwind from time to time. In Collin's 4 years, I don't think he's ever seen this kind of behavior from his parents. Come to think of it...he's barely seen us watch TV.

We ended the weekend with a long walk by Nine Mile Creek and pizza at Nick and Willy's. I think we finally managed to re-charge our batteries.
