When we selected "Baby Will You Love Me?" from Peter Strom's disk, Flowers in the Asphalt, for the couples section of our wedding video 8 years ago, I'm absolutely certain we didn't know the words would ring so true...
"Baby will you love me, when I'm 33?
We've got kids, running 'round our knees,
And we focus on them...
More than on you and me...
Will you love me, when I'm 33?"
Adam and I non-celebrated our 8th anniversary today. I wish I was kidding. We've just been so busy with other engagements that we neglected to celebrate our commitment to each other. This is really no excuse. We both know that we're going to have to do a much better job of making time for each other in order to sustain our relationship...especially in the midst of all this chaos.
We made it through infamous year 7 without so much as a scratch. It wasn't our easiest year...but it probably wasn't our most difficult year either.
In 2004, following a tradition of the Wilson's, we began an anniversary journal, to document memories/highlights from the previous year. And since we've done a good job of celebrating our relationship prior to this year, we decided to reminisce...
