A Day Off

Adam surprised us by taking a day off work so that we could hopefully avoid the weekend crowds and enjoy some family time at the MN Zoo. After watching the baby and toddler snow monkeys play with someone's mishandled sippy cup, we were fortunate to stumble onto an impromptu dolphin training session, since the dolphin show is officially closed.


After a PB and J and deer jerky lunch on the rocks outside Discovery Bay, we wandered through the Russia's Grizzly Coast exhibit, catching the grizzly bears fishing in their stocked salmon pond.


The boys then explored the new Woodland Adventure Park. After I lost sight of Aaron for what felt like an eternity while Adam took Collin to the little boys room, Adam and I decided the time has come to introduce the boys to a central meeting location, in case, heaven forbid, we do actually get separated from one of the boys in a large crowd.

No matter where we begin, it seems like we always end up at the farm. This afternoon, instead of walking, we stood in line, waiting for a ride on the John Deere tractor pulled wagon. The boys enjoyed walking among and petting the goats, feeding the goats behind the safety of the fence in the barn, and learning how to milk cows.
