Adam's team forfeited their tennis match Wednesday night, which opened the door for us to spend yet another Wednesday evening packing the car and roof rack, ensuring an early Thursday afternoon departure from this week's meeting spot, Broadway Ridge West, home of the NMDP.

The rest of the family had arrived on Wednesday for the 3rd Annual Lake Vermilion Beduhn Family Gathering. Since the weather was a little cooler than in previous years, our time on the water was limited. Highlights of the weekend included the highly anticipated cribbage tournament, surprisingly impressive TNT fireworks in a can, couples bean bag toss, morning and evening fishing adventures, pontoon rides, craycrab fishing, tubing, preparing to swim in the icy water, wading in the icy water, wild blueberry picking, afternoon naps, and just a whole lot of "good for the soul" relaxation.
