A favorite tradition with BaPa Minnows and Grandma Honey Honey is the "see how big I am game". Usually it's Grandma Honey Honey who places her hand against her side, using it as a sliding measuring stick. The boys each take turns squatting under and slowly pushing up her hand to their respective heights. We joke that someday they will be bigger than all of us, which is probably true.
To that end we tell the kids to eat their vegetables, drink their milk, etc. so that they can not only get bigger but also have strong muscles. This rhetoric usually encourages them to try the new things Momma cooks, and at the very least helps mealtime run more smoothly. However, I realized today that somewhere along the line Aaron had a fundamental breakdown in his understanding of anatomy....as he thinks his elbows are muscles!
