Soccer Strides

A little piece of the action...

The Sharks have made amazing strides in 5 weeks. While the game still resembles a bee hive, the kids are beginning to grasp some fundamental concepts of soccer and organized team sports in general.

Collin still loves every minute. His tendency is to stand back and observe the action rather than to aggressively pursue the ball...but he's beginning to be more assertive. We frequently remind him to stop playing with his shirt. He's been known to run down the field with a huge smile, waving to the camera and inquiring whether I "got that on video!" He's eager to take a water and snack break. He's thanked Adam several times for being his coach.

It is unlikely that Collin will score a goal...but there is no doubt that he is having fun. He has exceeded our expectations.
